Why we do this
Certainty beats a guess, every time
Asbestos is not something to take chances with. You cannot tell whether a material contains it by looking, and the wrong assumption can put a family or a work crew at risk.
That is why we do it properly. A Licensed Assessor attends, takes a documented sample under controlled conditions, and has it analysed at an independent NATA accredited laboratory.
The result is a clear written answer you can act on, whether you are renovating, demolishing, buying, selling or managing a workplace.

Perth Asbestos Testing is led by Philip Lancaster, an assessor who has worked with asbestos for decades, going right back to the 1980s. This is not a franchise or a side hustle, it is a career built entirely around understanding this material.
Philip's path started managing asbestos in the Navy's engineering branch, then retraining in chemistry at Murdoch University and years spent in mining NATA accredited laboratories. In the early 1990s he moved into full-time asbestos consulting, backed by formal qualifications in health and safety, auditing and quality.
It is this hands-on depth, in the field and in the NATA accredited laboratory, that sits behind every report we hand you. When Philip tells you what a material is, it is a judgement built on decades of doing exactly this.

How we work

Every job is attended in person by a WA Licensed Asbestos Assessor. No posted kits, no subcontractors.
NATA accredited laboratory analysis
Samples are logged under chain of custody and analysed at a NATA accredited laboratory, not guessed at on site.
Documented, defensible results
You get a clear written report that stands up when it matters, for renovations, sales, insurers and compliance.
What we do not do
Being clear about our limits is part of doing this properly. We are the independent testing and assessment side, and we keep it that way.
- We do not remove or dispose of asbestos. Removal is done by a licensed asbestos removalist.
- We do not sell mail-in test kits. A qualified assessor takes the sample properly, in person.
- We do not guess. If a material cannot be confirmed by sight, it is sampled and NATA accredited laboratory-tested.
